Because I'm cheap, lazy and easily bored?

Close to the truth but probably more to do with keeping variety in my building. I have built a lot of Minifig scale MOCs (see my Flickr feed), but they do take way more time and bricks. When I started working in Microfig scale, I found I could do similar accuracy but with quicker build times and even greater challenges.

This allows me more variety in my subjects, and I can have a couple of projects on the go at the same time without running out of space and money. I am enjoying the extra challenges and NPUs necessary to get accurate designs in smaller scale. As much as I am in awe of larger builds we all see, I think there is something more challenging about building in a smaller scale and conveying the same recognisability with the model.
